🪙 Token Types#

$MOMO (Utility Token)#

$MOMO is the core utility token of the Momodrome ecosystem. It is primarily used for:

• Liquidity incentives
• Lock tokens to participate in protocol governance
• Other functionalities within the protocol

$veMOMO (Governance Token)#

$veMOMO is a veNFT (ERC721) minted by locking $MOMO. Holders of $veMOMO:

• Token whitelisting and other governance rights
• Govern the distribution of liquidity rewards ($MOMO)
• Receive a share of protocol revenue by voting

⚖️ Issuance Mechanism#

Issuance of $MOMO#

• $MOMO emissions occur on a weekly basis, with the supply allocated to liquidity providers (LPers) and $veMOMO holders to encourage TVL growth and maintain the governance proportion for $veMOMO holders.
• The exact allocation ratio is subject to voting outcomes, ensuring the protocol’s long-term stability.

$veMOMO Minting#

• Locking $MOMO generates $veMOMO: The longer the lock period, the higher the minting ratio.
• Lock Duration Rules (Linear Growth):

  • 6-month lock: 100 $MOMO = 50 $veMOMO

  • 1-year lock: 100 $MOMO = 100 $veMOMO

  • Minimum lock period: 7 days

  • Maximum lock period: 1 year

• Permanent Lock (Perma-locked) veMOMO:
  • The protocol allows users to designate their $veMOMO as permanently locked (max-lock). Such $veMOMOs are always treated as though locked for the maximum duration (1 year), and their voting power does not decay over time.
